Software for Remote Rehabilitation Conforming to Physical Therapists’ Plans and Healthcare Terminology
摘要
The healthcare field is constantly developing and technologically improving to offer effective e-health solutions to patients. Health recovery can benefit from telemedicine and remote monitoring systems, so that more patients have access to the necessary procedures and regain their quality of life. Yet, the software support must be at the same time familiar to patients and conform to the rigors of medical advice and to standard health terminology. The paper presents an application for remote rehabilitation from medical conditions related to orthopedics and traumatology, respecting SNOMED CT terms and LOINC codes. The software provides guidance according to rehabilitation plans documented in the specialized literature for four diagnoses and allows interaction with patients and physical therapists.
