摘要
Dementia is a progressive neurodegenerative condition that causes a loss of cognitive function, such as thinking, remembering, and reasoning. Dementia affects millions worldwide, causing memory loss, confusion, and safety concerns. SmritiPunarmilan is an android application developed with the aim of providing support to dementia patients as well as the health care providers, like doctors and caregivers. This application features three user modes: Patient mode, provides navigation assistance, emergency alerts, medication reminders, and brain stimulating games; Caregiver mode allows real-time location tracking, medication monitoring, and health progress monitoring and assessment; and Doctor mode enables remote prescription updates, recovery tracking, and seamless communication with caregivers. By combining smart tracking, cognitive engagement, and health monitoring, SmritiPunarmilan empowers dementia patients to lead more independent lives while reducing caregiver burden and improving healthcare coordination. SmritiPunarmilan aims at research at multiple levels, like for developers, with the vision of building advanced software for healthcare experts and doctors to treat patients through a data-driven approach and for the society as well, where patients can lead an independent life. This innovative solution paves the way for data-driven, patient-centric dementia management, with future enhancements focusing on wearable device integration.
