The technological world is moving towards enormous applications as a result of the growing demand for automation and rapid solutions. The visioning and planning of 6G communications has started by addressing the constraints of 4G and 5G technologies, aiming to provide communication services that meet the future expectations of the 2030s. Although the world’s nations are adopting advanced digital technology at a fast pace, industries are finding it difficult to do so. To address these problems and transition from Industry 4.0 to Industry 6.0, industries must cultivate an active mentality and embrace digitalization across diverse sectors. Industry 6.0, a forward-looking concept, differs according to industry requirements and may include internationally customer-oriented, human-centered, virtualized, and uniform assets. The forecast for Industry 6.0 includes hyper-connected industries, mass customization, dynamic supply chain management, and a category of self-evolving AI for autonomous decision-making. This article presents a theoretical framework for Industry 6.0, using 6G-driven edge intelligence to provide real-time, decentralized, and AI-enhanced industrial processes. The integration of 6G communication networks with edge intelligence enables ultra-low latency, extensive machine-type communication, and fluid human-machine cooperation, promoting autonomous and robust production environments. The proposed framework outlines essential enablers, such as edge AI, digital twins, blockchain, and sustainable computing, which together enhance efficiency, flexibility, and security. This research explains the revolutionary potential of Industry 6.0 and its implications for future industrial paradigms by integrating intelligent edge computing with 6G networks.
