Discussion on Unsteady Seepage Calculation of Low Grade Levees
摘要
The slopes on both sides of low-grade levees in small rivers are steep. When the steady seepage calculation is carried out within the duration of the design flood level, the seepage gradient on the back side of the levee may be greater than the allowable gradient of soil, which makes it difficult to judge the seepage safety of the levee and is also inconsistent with the actual situation. In this paper, the unsteady seepage calculation in the design flood process is proposed to replace the steady seepage calculation in the duration of the design flood level to reduce the seepage gradient on the back side of the levee and make the seepage stability of the levee more in line with reality. Finally, taking a specific project as an example, the calculated results of the two methods are compared and analyzed.
