The 2015 Paris Declaration emphasized climate technology mechanisms, including research and development, to enhance resilience and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Biotechnological advancements have mitigated about 20% of economic losses since the 1960s, highlighting technology’s potential to address climate-induced health risks. This chapter examines technological interventions to mitigate climate impacts on human health. Renewable energy technologies, such as solar, wind, hydrogen fuel, and carbon capture systems, reduce emissions while improving health outcomes by minimizing exposure to climate hazards. Emerging digital technologies, including IoT, AI, and sensors, enhance energy management in healthcare, enable real-time health monitoring, and provide early warnings during extreme weather events. Focusing on the CARICOM region, this chapter explores regional efforts, such as renewable energy projects, climate-smart healthcare infrastructure, and geospatial technologies for tracking disease outbreaks. These initiatives align with UN SDGs 13 (Climate Action) and 3 (Health and Well-being) by promoting resilience and reducing health risks in vulnerable communities. Challenges and future directions emphasize sustained regional cooperation to scale climate technologies and improve public health outcomes.
