The production of this article emerges in a dimension of political action (Kilomba, 2020) and draws on the theoretical frameworks developed for the author’s ongoing doctoral work at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). The text aims to undertake a theoretical articulation that facilitates reflections on the construction of meanings regarding blackness itself, taking the notion of culture as a mobile symbolic boundary proposed by Simão (2016).
