Sustainable Finance Instruments and Mechanisms
摘要
This chapter focuses on different tools and methods that enable sustainable finance in practice. It starts by explaining key sustainability concepts in finance, including green, blue, social, and sustainability-linked. The roles of these concepts in shaping financial products and strategies are clarified. Key terms such as use of proceeds, transition financing, KPI-linked finance, and green pure players are defined to create a clear framework. This chapter then looks at various sustainable finance instruments, such as green and social bonds, sustainability-linked loans, funds, green deposits, and derivatives. It also discusses contemporary topics like carbon pricing and trading. Additionally, it emphasises the importance of sustainability indices, venture capital, private equity, and Islamic finance structures in mobilising capital for sustainable development. This chapter reviews allocation and impact reporting practices, along with risk management and insurance mechanisms. This overview shows how financial innovation and organised methods are essential for aligning capital markets with global sustainability goals.
