The digital environment has become an integral part of the younger generation with their modern digital media technologies. Today, approximately 55% of young people are visual learners preferring to perceive information through memes, diagrams, charts, films and demonstrations. This study examines the use of visual reasoning as a method of communicating information to the youth. The article provides a rationale for the prospects of the visual reasoning method in communicating information about the values of society to young people and provides ideas on how to help public institutions use visual reasoning in the formation of civic and patriotic, family and cultural values in young people. The authors carried out an assessment of the dominant perceptual modality to identify the leading visual type of information perception by young people. The development of a model combining all visual resources of society as a single platform for the formation of socio-cultural and patriotic values among the youth comprises the scientific novelty of the research. The findings show that the visual reasoning method is realistic and effective, provided that integrated transfer of information on socio-cultural and patriotic values is developed among young people, as well as the teachers’ adaptation to new technology and their readiness to use it in the formation of society’s values. As the experiment shows, the level of information perception is high (0.9 → 1), texp = 3.57 with tc = 3.51, which indicates a high influence of the visual reasoning method on an increase in the level of formation of values and patriotic sentiments among students.

摘要
