Diversity, Representation, and Inclusion in Forensic Anthropology
摘要
This chapter examines the impacts of colonialism, systemic racism, and economic disadvantage on education and research in forensic anthropology today. We explore how these barriers influence policy and affect the professional application of forensic anthropology, including a case study detailing one author’s (NY) experience researching her ancestors within a process controlled by their colonizers. Finally, we propose solutions to address these issues in forensic anthropology and the broader forensic sciences, aiming to create a more equitable discipline and practice.
