In this chapter, we will discuss various relaxation techniques that are recommended for people experiencing CHR symptoms. Relaxation techniques have long been used in psychotherapy and offer patients a number of advantages. These include improved body awareness, better recovery from daily stress, greater resilience in managing acute symptoms, and heightened awareness of mental processes. Such techniques are particularly valuable when working with individuals experiencing CHR symptoms. One benefit is that they can help patients cope with CHR symptoms and relieve stress during crises. If practiced regularly, they can also help patients to become more resilient to stress. In addition to introducing different relaxation techniques, we will also provide specific instructions for therapists in the following chapter.
