Assessing Legal Awareness and the Need for Regional Legal Technology: Insights from a Survey-Based Study
摘要
In this work, we explore the current state of legal awareness and access to legal aid services among different demographics, including rural areas and residents in Bodo-speaking areas. Using a structured questionnaire, we surveyed 182 participants representing various age groups, genders and communities. The study reveals a significant gap in legal knowledge, with many people lacking awareness of their fundamental rights, court processes, and the availability of legal aid services. The findings highlight barriers such as geographical isolation, limited education, and misinformation that hinder access to legal support. The study also shows a demand for legal aid awareness through technology-driven solutions that address the specific needs of rural, linguistically diverse populations.
