This study aims to address the widespread issue of elderly individuals being unable to perform standing movements easily and safely in their daily lifes while using wheelchairs. All over the world, many researchers are focusing on developing standing-up assist machinery [1], various mechanical structures were developed to closely mimic the recommended standing actions. In our research, a linkage mechanism was developed with the following features: 1) It can assist with standing movements with the user’s power; 2) It enables users to complete standing movements by the recommended motion; 3) With the assistance of this standing device, users can reduce the torque required in joints during standing; 4) The device is portable and lightweight, allowing for easy modification and integration into ordinary wheelchairs.
