Analysis and Prediction of Unloaded Road Freight Transport in Spain
摘要
The efficiency of road freight transport in Spain, focusing on journeys made by unloaded vehicles, was analyzed in this study. Empty journeys represent a significant portion of the total journey and impact on the efficiency of the sector. Data from the Permanent Survey of Road Freight Transport in Spain, covering a 14-year period, were used to apply prediction techniques using an autoregressive process in Python. The results suggest a trend of increasing kilometers traveled, both loaded and unloaded, indicating a lack of improvement in road transport efficiency. The forecasting techniques employed proved to be accurate, with the best results obtained using the LASSO model.
