Solar Radiation Modification (SRM), also known as solar geoengineering, is a geoengineering method that entails any intentional efforts to increase the amount of sunlight reflected in space, thereby reducing the amount of sunlight absorbed by the Earth. This form of climate intervention seeks to counteract global warming by enhancing the Earth’s ability to reflect sunlight into space before it contributes to heat absorption in the environment. This chapter offers an examination of some of the SRM methods that have been investigated by the scientific community to attenuate climate change. These methods are divided into two categories: stratospheric and space-based, and ground-based technologies. To perform the analysis, it was chosen to follow the SWOT analysis approach.

摘要
