Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Assessment
摘要
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a lung condition characterized by chronic respiratory symptoms of dyspnea, cough, and sputum production and is associated with progressive airflow obstruction. Pharmacists play a key role in identifying patients at risk for COPD, facilitating diagnosis, and managing drug therapy. They evaluate medication effectiveness and safety while ensuring adherence and correct inhaler use—critical aspects of COPD treatment. Working alongside other healthcare professionals, pharmacists help enhance patients’ quality of life and ensure they have an action plan to manage exacerbations effectively.
