Asthma symptoms (cough, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and wheeze) and inflammation often vary over time necessitating regular assessments and follow-up. Initial and ongoing management decisions depend on the patient’s asthma control and severity. Pharmacists can provide meaningful support for patients in assessment, management, and monitoring given their accessibility.
