Metaverse is a virtual space accessed through computers and which are enabled through various immersive technologies like the AR, VR, where people gather to play, work and socialize. It is just like the internet but it is more immersive, and because of this and the rise of digital interaction, technology, and the rapid growth of the metaverse raises major concerns regarding its security and safety for all users. AI and ML are in this era and is being utilized increasingly to increase security measures to detect threats, reduce fraud, and ensure safe virtual experiences. This research paper analyzes user experience, perception, and awareness of AI and ML applications in securing the metaverse, focusing on users in Bangalore. The study aims to analyze how well users understand AI-driven security measures, what their perceptions of safety are, and all the challenges they face. A mixed-method approach is used to gather insights from metaverse users, developers, and cybersecurity professionals by conducting surveys through a questionnaire. The results will help us with the identification of gaps in awareness, the perceptions of current AI-driven security solutions, and potential areas for improvement. The study will provide insights into the growing discourse on AI and ML’s role in metaverse security, offering recommendations for enhancing user trust and protection in virtual environments.
