Teaching and Training in Clinical Neuropsychology: A Global Perspective
摘要
Clinical neuropsychology, which represents psychology’s largest specialty, bridges the gap between brain and behavior with regard to psychopathology. This chapter outlines how education and training across the globe have shaped what clinical neuropsychology is especially as it applies to its scientific and professional enterprises. The chapter is unique in several ways: a three generation and multi-country approach, the unique adaption of the specialty to each country’s circumstances, and both the differences and similarities of education and training opportunities across the globe. The amalgamation of each of these varied approaches brings together the richness and robustness of clinical neuropsychology as a science and a professional specialty but also brings psychology closer to its origins and foundations.
