The reality of death, especially our own personal death, presents a challenge to reality for the modern human who privileges material reality over spiritual reality. Humans have always been motivated by the mystery and fear of death to explore the possibility of a spiritual, transcendent reality, but our typical binary thinking has a difficult time accepting the reality of our own material non-existence after death. We crave the existence of the spiritual reality to ease this fear of death.

摘要

The reality of death, especially our own personal death, presents a challenge to reality for the modern human who privileges material reality over spiritual reality.
