It reframes evaluation as a continuous, collaborative process that emphasizes reflection, growth, and shared responsibility over standardized tests or narrow metrics. The chapter addresses five areas: assessing student outcomes through authentic tasks, portfolios, and self-reflection; evaluating equity and belonging with participation maps, voice audits, and multilingual feedback; reviewing curriculum effectiveness through mapping and collaborative cycles; using feedback loops to co-construct improvement; and applying flexible indicators to capture growth that might otherwise go unseen. Across all sections, evaluation is framed as a practice of care—grounded in context, shaped by student voice, and oriented toward meaningful change.
