This paper explores the educational use of interactive solutions in museums, cultural sites, and archives, emphasizing the shift from exclusive knowledge repositories to publicly accessible institutions. It examines the historical evolution from ancient archives and Renaissance collections to modern museums and digital archives, highlighting how technology has transformed these spaces into interactive and inclusive environments. The study discusses the role of extended reality (XR), AI-driven avatars, and digital tools in enhancing accessibility, engagement, and learning. Special focus is given to the integration of immersive storytelling and multisensory experiences, which enable museums and archives to promote lifelong learning and cultural appreciation. Finally, the paper presents innovative approaches developed by e-REAL Labs in collaboration with various museums and cultural institutions, demonstrating how interactive solutions can bridge the gap between historical preservation and digital transformation.
