Global Applications of the MCELE Framework: Case Studies and Future Directions
摘要
The final chapter expands the scope of the book by demonstrating the global applicability of the Multidimensional Contextual English Language Education (MCELE) framework. It presents four comparative case studies from Indonesia, Germany, Vietnam, and Portugal, illustrating how the framework’s dimensions can be re-prioritized to analyze diverse educational contexts—from pandemic-driven digital shifts in Indonesia to identity formation in Germany’s structured universities. The chapter validates MCELE as a versatile tool for understanding the interplay of local culture, policy, and pedagogy in any ELT setting. It concludes by exploring future directions, including the integration of AI in language learning and the promotion of inclusive, multiliteracies pedagogy, establishing MCELE as a vital contribution to the international discourse on language education policy and practice.
