Composite aircraft fuselages often suffer damage from unexpected impacts during service, making the assessment of these damages crucial. This study investigates the factors affecting the probability of detecting impact damage in composite laminate panels in the aviation field. Based on visual inspection data, the probability curves for detecting pit damage under different inspection conditions were analyzed. The results show that, under the same lighting conditions, a larger visual inspection angle increases the detection probability, while white glossy surface treatments make damage detection more challenging.

摘要

Composite aircraft fuselages often suffer damage from unexpected impacts during service, making the assessment of these damages crucial.
