The aim of the research is to identify the primary trends and features in the coverage of BRICS in the Finnish press. The study extends its findings by selecting three major Finnish mediaFinnish media outlets: Helsingin Sanomat, Yle, and Ilta-Sanomat. The analysis employs both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including content analysis of texts, comparative analysisAnalysis of publications and sources, as well as an evaluation of the tone and emotional nuances of articles. The results of the study indicate that publications about BRICS in the Finnish press exhibit distinct characteristics. They primarily focus on the economic and political dimensions of cooperationCooperation between FinlandFinland and the BRICS countries. The main topics include tradeTrade, investments, energy cooperation, political relations, and geopolitical aspects. Additionally, the authors suggest some bias and inconsistency in the coverage of information. Some countries receive greater attention, while others remain inadequately covered. The study reveals how Finnish mediaFinnish media, reflecting both national and broader EU-NATO narratives, depict BRICS within the evolving geopolitical context.
