Nowadays, the number of people displaced by natural disasters exceeds the number of people migrating due to armed conflicts. The growing number of “climate migrantsMigrants“affects the socio-economic and political situation of the countries of emigration, transit, and immigration, and requires immediate decisions from the world community. The purpose of the study is to analyze the evolution of the discourse of “climate” migration within the framework of global climatePolicy policyGlobal climate policy, to identify the main achievements of the world community in creating international and regional structures for regulating and curbing “climate”Climate migration, and to characterize its modern geography based on spatial analysisAnalysis. Four periods can be distinguished in the development of the discourse of “climate” migration. Chronologically, they trace the expansion and deepening of the topic of climate migrationClimate migration, its ambiguous perception, reversibility, and its diffusion from scientific discourse to political discourse, up to its positioning as one of the most relevant in global climate policyGlobal climate policy. Most of the climate migrantsMigrants are registered in least developed countries (LDCs). Exactly in these countries, the mechanisms should be created to strengthen the adaptive capacity and resilience of territories from the effects of GCCGlobal climate change.
