In an empirical study based on statistical survey data, the typology of environmental cultureCulture in the youth environment of St. Petersburg is revealed. It is emphasized that the contextual model for the development of environmental consciousness is linked to ecological cultureEcological culture, providing a semantic framework for individuals’ orientation in socio-natural life conditions. This framework aims to change people's behavior by influencing their fundamental attitudes toward protecting the environment.
