This chapter reflects on AI infrastructures and sustainability in Poland from a geopolitical perspective. Taking into account the ecological, social and economic aspects of sustainability, the text investigates AI related matters that concern Poland—one of the Central and Eastern European leaders in terms of readiness for AI applications. The chapter applies an interdisciplinary approach, drawing on media and communication studies, political sciences, international relations and other social sciences. The results of a thematic analysis of quality media coverage indicate military and economic geopolitical concerns, as well as social factors, as the key emerging themes.
