This application aims to solve mobility problems within public transportation in Mexico City by integrating solutions into a single platform. Field research concluded that the main issues faced by users involve travel time, journey distance, and a poor overall experience caused by inconsistencies in public transport services. Additionally, data was gathered on passenger flow across different public transportation systems in CDMX, as well as the distances and travel times between stations. To provide an effective solution, various methods of route calculation were explored—both online and offline. New technologies like Google’s Firebase were also integrated to manage project security, protect users, and monitor standardized metrics for a better experience. As a result, we developed a comprehensive solution that addresses most of the issues within public transportation. The application offers efficient route planning, detailed information on lines, maps, stations, schedules, and fares, as well as real-time tracking of users and vehicles. It also includes alerts about common issues within the Integrated Mobility systems, significantly improving the travel experience for users. Finally, throughout the development process, tests were carried out on more than 280 users, applying this to various versions of the program. This was done in order to record errors throughout the application’s life cycle, using Crashlytics. In addition, these tests evaluated the efficiency of route calculation even in environments without an internet connection.
