Evaluation of Mexico City’s Public Transportation Infrastructure
摘要
This work presents a model for evaluating Mexico City’s (CDMX) public transportation network through spatial and, in some cases, statistical analysis. The case study includes the different transportation services and infrastructure available in CDMX. This model consists of three stages. In the first stage (Data Integration), geographic data in the public transportation network infrastructure is collected, considering thematic layers of information (roads, routes, etc.) to build a geographic database to store and analyze the geospatial data. The study area is classified in the second stage (Zoning and Application of Metrics), and spatial metrics are applied to evaluate the public transportation network. Finally, the third stage (Metric Assessment) allows for the assessment of the metrics, which provides the necessary information to understand the state of the urban public transportation network.
