This work presents the development of an oximetry monitoring device designed for patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The system integrates programmable electronics and wireless communication to facilitate medication management and continuous monitoring. Collected oximetry data is transmitted in real time to a web-based application for secure storage and remote access by healthcare personnel. Furthermore, the device includes a threshold-based alert system that detects deviations from clinically established oximetry ranges for COPD patients and automatically sends instant notifications to both the patient’s designated family contact and the attending physician.

摘要

This work presents the development of an oximetry monitoring device designed for patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The system integrates programmable electronics and wireless communication to facilitate medication management and continuous monitoring. Collected oximetry data is transmitted in real time to a web-based application for secure storage and remote access by healthcare personnel. Furthermore, the device includes a threshold-based alert system that detects deviations from clinically established oximetry ranges for COPD patients and automatically sends instant notifications to both the patient’s designated family contact and the attending physician.
