It is proposed a new habitability metrics for coastal ecosystems due to ocean acidification in the context of the current climate change. This metrics includes a function of the limiting nutrient, a function of light and a function of pH. The function of of light is based on the so-called E model of photosynthesis, the function of the limiting nutrient is based in the Michaelis-Menten kinetics and the function of acidification is authors’ original proposition. Predictions are presented spanning all the current century.
