Data management is an indispensable part for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) ensuring transparent information throughout the product lifecycle. Simulations are important for PLM because they support the entire product lifecycle with important insights. The challenges for the data management of simulations are so restricting that the reuse of simulation data is rarely realised. 摘要

Problems arise when dealing with large data volumes or identifying which metadata is important to analyse and reuse a simulation. Further challenges arise if this data is prepared in accordance with Research Data Management (RDM). This paper clarifies the obstacles and requirements to enable reuse of simulation data. A use case presents the management of simulation data in a RDM-system used in a collaborative research project, considering the derived requirements.
