Introduction
摘要
In this chapter, I introduce the central themes of the book: biological conservation and management of threatened species. The main global strategies that subnational governments have used to address the biodiversity crisis are explained. One of these strategies is threatenened species management, which has a 50-year history in some countries. Basic concepts of species management and its relationship to government policies are described. The public policy cycle is explained, and this theoretical and methodological framework served as a basis for developing the narrative throughout the 14 chapters of the book.
