Eco Friendly Synthesis and Biological Application of Latex Mediated Silver Nanoparticles Using Euphorbia tirucalli
摘要
The present study represents the synthesis of AgNPs from Euphorbia tirucalli latex and their characterization using UV-Visible spectroscopy, Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Antimicrobial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Bacillus subtilis was determined using the well diffusion method. AgNPs derived from Euphorbia tirucalli latex were also found to be a more effective insecticide against ants than latex alone. Finally, seed germination was evaluated, and it was revealed that latex-induced AgNPs promoted seed germination more effectively than latex or silver nitrate alone.
