This paper designs and develops a simulation training system for badminton skills training based on virtual reality technology, aiming to improve the efficiency and scientificity of traditional training methods. The system provides athletes with an immersive training experience by constructing virtual sports scenes and high-precision 3D athlete models, combined with motion capture technology and real-time feedback mechanisms. The study used a combination of data collection and comparative experiments to verify the reliability and effectiveness of the system. The experimental results show that the system is superior to traditional training methods in action recognition accuracy and training effectiveness, and can significantly improve athletes’ skill mastery and training efficiency. This study provides new ideas for the application of virtual reality technology in sports skill training and has broad potential for promotion.
