This study investigates the geographical distribution of political awareness among the population of Baghdad Governorate through the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and geospatial analysis techniques. By employing a descriptive-analytical methodology, the research utilizes structured questionnaires and GIS mapping to identify how various demographic factors and AI-based media tools influence political engagement and constitutional understanding. The study sample consisted of 500 respondents selected across different districts of Baghdad, stratified by age, gender, education, and area of residence. The results revealed that younger and more educated participants demonstrated higher levels of political awareness, with the age group 26–35 and individuals holding university degrees scoring significantly higher in awareness indicators. The use of AI applications, especially social media algorithms and news aggregators, was found to have a strong influence on enhancing awareness. Spatial analysis showed considerable disparity in awareness levels across administrative districts, with Al-Karkh, Al-Mansour, and Kadhimiya leading in awareness, while areas like Sadr City and Adhamiyah ranked lower. Furthermore, 78% of respondents expressed familiarity with constitutional values, yet 46% still favored tribal customs when conflicts arise.
