The present study explores the reasons for the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies by voice-over actors in Jordanian media organizations. As we see significant advances in AI-driven tools for content creation (e.g., text-to-speech generators and voice synthesis technologies), this project aims to fill in the gap that also explores the perception and the use of emerging innovations among creative professionals. Through a qualitative methodology, the study employed 11 in-depth interviews with voice-over specialists who have strong standing at different media institutions. Thematic analysis was used to identify recurring patterns and insights from the data. The results show a pair of broad categories of factors that influence AI adoption, technical, and organizational. Technical barriers are the limited emotional quality of AI-generated voices and the complexity of tools, as well as high software costs. They are conflicting interests, of unclear policies, lack of gratuity, also for lack of structure, and cultural resistance to the change in technology. The study proposes a conceptual framework interrelating these factors which provides both theoretical and practical insights into integrating AI technology in creative industries. It also underscores the necessity for policy reform, institutional training, and investment in responsible AI deployment. The study ends highlighting that for successful adoption, both technological readiness and strategic alignment with culture are crucial. Our findings thus provide an action plan for media managers, policymakers, and scholars seeking to balance innovation with the ongoing preservation of human creative roles in an evolving media ecosystem.
