Management of Metastatic Disease Around the Knee
摘要
Metastatic bone disease affects two-thirds of patients with visceral oncological diseases. Although the most frequent site is the axial skeleton and proximal femur, lesion around the knee is very symptomatic in terms of function and challenging in their treatment. Treatment options include percutaneous treatment, prophylactic stabilization, and the combination of the latter with cement. In addition, in more advanced cases with joint destruction, joint replacements are a valid option. In this chapter, we will focus on the types of reconstruction for metastatic disease around the knee, when to choose one or the other and their technical details.
