This chapter develops the predicate version of inductive logic. We prove both completeness and \(\sigma \) -compactness. We also discuss the relationship between random variables and extralogical symbols. This leads to the ideas of relativity of randomness and frames of reference. This chapter also includes the first of our three embedding theorems.

摘要

This chapter develops the predicate version of inductive logic. We prove both completeness and \(\sigma \) -compactness. We also discuss the relationship between random variables and extralogical symbols. This leads to the ideas of relativity of randomness and frames of reference. This chapter also includes the first of our three embedding theorems.
