Approaching the Patient and Successful Utilization
摘要
Many providers are uncomfortable discussing long-acting injectables or present them in a manner that is seen as a punishment to the patient. Positively presenting the formulation is essential in the shared decision-making model. Patients are open to receiving the formulation if they understand all the potential benefits. This chapter provides a guide to how to approach a patient and engage in discussion regarding long-acting injectable medications. Additionally, clinical pearls are offered on discussion points during this essential conversation.
