Design and Simulation of Wind Farm in Adrar Region, Algeria
摘要
A variety of feasibility analysis needs to be carried out before the construction of a wind farm including resource assessment at the proposed project location. To make a favorable site for wind farm, wind speed should be more than 4 m/s at 10 m above ground level (AGL). It is possible to start the assessment process by using the historical data from nearby meteorological station. The principal objective of this work is to i) validate the RETScreen model-based energy yield by comparing the actual monthly and annual wind energy production of the Kabartene wind farm (10 MW) and ii) to verify that the 10 MW wind farm at Kabartene is more efficient and productive using DEWIND 62/1000 or VESTAS V90-2.0 MW turbines instead of Gamesa G52-850 wind turbines.
