Institutional Structures and Student Migration in South Africa and Germany
摘要
This chapter examines how institutional structures shape the experiences of international students in South Africa and Germany. Drawing on empirical literature, comparative policy analysis, and recent case studies, this study explores student migration trends, factors influencing university choice, and the role of institutional policies in facilitating or hindering student adaptation. Key themes include academic support, social integration, discrimination, and security concerns. Through a comparative framework, the chapter identifies structural differences and shared challenges across the two contexts. The findings provide valuable insights into how universities can enhance the international student experience by developing tailored policies and more inclusive support systems.
