Surface Water Quality in the Northern Qinling Mountains
摘要
This chapter investigates the surface water quality in the northern Qinling Mountains. Through systematic field surveys, 156 surface water samples were collected from rivers and reservoirs across the region. The chapter employed multiple analytical methods, including hydrochemical characterization (Piper and Gibbs diagrams), correlation analysis, multivariate statistics, and stable isotope techniques, to elucidate the formation mechanisms and influencing factors of surface water quality. Assessments were conducted for drinking water, irrigation, and industrial uses. The chapter also identifies ecological challenges such as water scarcity, pollution, and habitat degradation, proposing measures for sustainable water resource management. This chapter provides a scientific foundation for ecological protection policies and supports the implementation of national strategies for environmental conservation in the Qinling region.
