Long-Term Monitoring of Three Steel Bridges Strengthened with Prestressed and Non-Prestressed CFRP
摘要
Strengthening existing steel bridges using carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRPs) has shown promising, however, with concerns about the durability. This study focuses on the long-term monitoring of three steel bridges in Switzerland and Australia, which were strengthened with prestressed and non-prestressed CFRP plates and rods. Monitoring data revealed that for steel girders and angle connections strengthened with prestressed unbonded CFRPs, no significant prestress loss was observed. In addition, for steel girders strengthened with non-prestressed bonded CFRP plates, no evident debonding occurred.
