In 6G era, many new technologies will be adopted in cellular networks. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of key enablers in6G communications and networks. Many people expect that AI is embedded in 6G communications and networks components. AI will allow 6G communications and networks to learn, analyse, adapt, manage and optimize themselves. We expect that AI will be able to improve the communication and network performances in terms of throughput, capacity, security, latency, energy efficiency, reliability, connection density, and so on. In addition, 6G will be good infrastructure to operate AI applications or AI embedded use cases and services. In this chapter, we introduce the basic concepts and historical view of artificial intelligence and wireless communications and networks, address the key challenges of AI and 6G design and implementation, and present a blueprint on how to build AI embedded 6G ecosystem.
