In this final chapter, insights from the different parts of the analysis will be synthesised, framed and discussed in the light of a socio-ecological framework. The chapter will begin with a review of the research questions. Key findings from the empirical chapters will be presented and discussed in relation to four socio-ecological levels: individual, relationship, community and societal level. This is followed by a thorough discussion of how the findings from this research are situated within the broader research context and literature. Finally, it highlights future research directions and the implications for policy and practice.
