Wars as a Source of Maternal Stress During Pregnancy and Postpartum
摘要
In this chapter, the most relevant data from the literature on the impact of war on perinatal mothers and their children are presented. From the maternal perspective, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in mothers will be analyzed. Regarding the children, different sections address the impact of war on the mother-infant bond, cognitive development, and the presence of psychopathology. Finally, the interventions established by the literature are compiled, along with suggestions for best practices based on evidence.
