EMI Filters
摘要
This chapter focuses on the simulation-driven design of a filter for an inverter. We begin the design process by modeling the filter using circuit simulation. Next, the circuit is connected to an EM simulation model of the layout, where we analyze the impact of the layout on filter performance. Since the filter design incorporates a measurement-based circuit model of the common mode choke, this chapter also explores the challenges of connecting measurement-based circuit components to a full-wave simulation model. After an in-depth discussion of the complete filter, we present a methodology for generating an EM simulation model of the common mode choke. This approach involves tuning material parameters in the EM model to align with the properties specified in a datasheet. In the advanced section, we discuss the simulation of magnetic materials in an inductor, including considerations for saturation and dispersion.
