This chapter consists of 3 parts. In the first part we explain how the dataset from the articles dealing with Parkinson’s Disease has been formed. The second part presents the networks which are studied in the next chapters: articles citation network (39,811 articles), journals citation network (3292 journals), authors citation network (27,551 authors), affiliations citation network (3029 affiliations), terms co-occurrence network (423 terms). In the third part the research methods used in the book are described—classic and new centrality indices, models of networks stability analysis, models of pattern analysis, the algorithms of community detection.
