This chapter explores the role of motivation in promoting self-care and healthy ageing. It proposes a conceptual model - The Self-Care Motivation Change Framework (SCMC), integrating three theoretical perspectives: (1) the middle-range theory of self-care, (2) the transtheoretical model of behavioral change, and (3) the relational and strategic principles of Motivational Interviewing. This integration offers both a conceptual and operational contribution, supporting the development of personalized motivational interventions across different stages of readiness to change. The proposed framework is designed to be applicable in clinical and primary care settings, with particular attention to the emotional, relational, and clinical complexities of ageing.

摘要
